Old School Bangkok
Scott to me, “Are you sure? Sometimes you think things are… you know… a great idea but then… you know… So all I’m asking is, are you sure?” With enthusiasm, “Yes. Yes, I’m sure. This is going to be epic. Trust me.”
We kissed the kids good night, made sure the (well vetted, properly trained in CPR) babysitter had a line up of Disney videos, junk food and our phone numbers and we stepped out to have a “traditional” Bangkok night… 3 middle age couples, unfortunately responsible, ready to really blow it up.
I’m a collector of experiences – the good, the bad and the ugly. If it’s novel, I want to try it. Scott is a willing conspirator. So… I have a good Bangkok kinda story or 2 or 3. I’m happy to share the stories… in person, with a cold beverage, to those with a robust sense of humor and a tolerance for questionable judgment. Being that I’m not an idiot, I safely tucked the camera away most of the time.
We rolled back in around 4 am…. time flies when you are having fun!
First stop Sky Bar:
The first big stop.
What it looked like to me:
Never let anyone take you to a secondary location. It’s just bad.
“Put that phone down right now!” -Scott
Less than 24 hours later we were on our way home.
